Systemic Lupus Erythematosus is an autoimmune disease that affects multiple organ systems and is unpredictable in disease severity, with periods of illness or flares alternating with periods of remission. the presentation of lupus varies and may include rash and arthritis, anemia and thrombocytopenia, serositis, nephritis, seizures, and psychosis. Lupus may involve one or more organ systems, but the most frequent manifestations include the musculoskeletal and mucocutaneous systems.
-This study consists of a 24-week treatment period followed by a 12-week follow-up period. Patients must have a clinical diagnosis of SLE at least 24 weeks prior to screening.
